EQF Qualification Levels
Qualification levels according to EQF (European Qualification Framework)
The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is an initiative of the European Union. Its aim is to make professional qualifications and skills in Europe more comparable. Educational qualifications should be made more comparable and understandable for employers, citizens and institutions, especially for further careers abroad.
In order to achieve international comparability of the respective certificates, the IFHIAS Institute has assigned the training courses to levels 1-4 based on the EQF qualification levels.
Qualification level 1
Knowledge:
The training participant acquires basic general knowledge in the respective fitness area.
Experience:
The training participant acquires basic skills for performing simple tasks in the respective field.
Skills:
The training participant is able to carry out training, simple applications and courses under direct supervision according to an existing implementation plan.
Qualification level 2
Knowledge:
The training participant learns basic specialist knowledge in the respective fitness area.
Experience:
The training participant will learn basic theoretical and practical skills. These skills will help them to perform tasks and solve simple problems according to the given rules.
Skills:
The training participant is able to independently carry out training plans, applications and courses and also to plan them.
Qualification level 3
Knowledge:
The training participant will acquire knowledge of technical terms, principles, general laws and procedures in the respective specialised field.
Experience:
The training participant will acquire theoretical and practical skills. These skills will help them to find solutions to tasks and problems according to a rule-based system for obtaining knowledge or practical results.
Abilities:
The training participant is able to plan and execute training, training plans, applications and courses independently and adapt them to specific requirements and the personal characteristics of the client over longer periods of time.
Qualification level 4
Knowledge:
The training participant will acquire a wide range of knowledge of technical terms, specialist knowledge, principles and practices from several specific areas of the fitness industry.
Experience
The training participant will acquire comprehensive theoretical and practical skills. These extensive skills will help them to find solutions to specific tasks. Complex problems will be systematically investigated and solved using the appropriate methods. These competent skills will enable them to incorporate several methods into training and treatment plans.
Abilities:
The training participant is able to present tasks and solutions independently. They will be able to plan and carry out training, training plans, applications and courses independently and adapt them to specific and changing requirements or circumstances in a personalised manner over longer periods of time. They will be able to integrate and support therapeutic plans into the respective procedure and coordinate these with the physiotherapist.
