When will I be activated for the e-learning modules?
Activation takes place immediately upon booking confirmation, provided the training has been paid for. An information email is sent via email.
By when do I have to complete the e-learning?
The e-learning must be completed no later than 3 days before the live training. This means that all learning success control checks must be successfully completed. (For training courses that start on a saturday, the e-learning must be completed by tuesday, 11:59 p.m., for training courses that start on a sunday, the e-learning must be completed by wednesday, 11:59 p.m.)
Where can I find the e-learning for my bookings?
All e-learning modules are stored in the customer account within the EXPERTS WORLD. After logging in, the item “E-Learning” is listed in the navigation.What are learning success control checks?
At the end of a chapter or subchapter, knowledge is tested in the form of control questions. Four possible answers are given, from which you have to choose which answer is correct. These learning success checks are intended to reflect the acquired know-how and confirm that you have worked through it.
What happens if I haven't answered a learning success assessment correctly?
100% of the questions must be answered correctly. If this is not the case, the next chapter or subchapter will not be unlocked. This means that the incorrectly answered chapter or subchapter must be worked through again. Afterwards there will be another learning success check.
I have worked through the entire e-learning preparation for my education! What's next?
With the last answer to the learning success control, the complete e-learning module has been processed in preparation for the live training and the IFHIAS Institute will be informed about this via automated email. Once you have completed it, you can take part in the live education. There will later be further information like: What should you bring, the location of the live education and more.
I am unable to complete the e-learning in time 3 days before my training date! Can I still take part in the live education?
No! Participation in the live education is only possible, without exception, if the entire e-learning in preparation for the live training has been successfully completed at least 3 days before the training date. The master trainer on site is informed about who is allowed to participate and who is not. Even if you arrive for the training, the training is considered “not attended” and therefore does not confirm the HOT IRON® Instructor license or participation.
Are the e-learning modules still available to me after I have attended my training?
Yes, the e-learning modules are also available in the customer account after the training - without learning success checks. After logging in to the customer account, the e-learning content is available in the archive.
What happens if I have to interrupt my e-learning session?
That's no problem. The system saves the last status of the processing. When you log in again, you can decide whether you want to continue editing or start again from the beginning.
The videos take a long time to download! What can I do?
It is important to check the internet connection. Of course, videos in particular have a certain data size. Depending on the connection, the download may take a bit longer.
How long is an e-learning unit?
This is very different. Some training courses have a greater amount of information than others. Individual subchapters in the form of a video vary from 2 – 12 minutes. We see a total length of 1 – 2 hours as training preparation as “standard”.
Can I still rebook or cancel my training once I have started the e-learning?
A rebooking is only possible if the training itself remains the same (i.e. only a rebooking of the appointment). It is no longer possible to rebook to a different training content or cancel once e-learning begins.
